# Identity Verification (KYC)

**Step 1: Getting Started**

* Once your wallet is set up, you'll be prompted to begin the KYC process.
* Click the **Identity Verification** button to start.

**Step 2: Provide Your Government ID**

* You will need to submit a government-issued ID to confirm your identity.
* Tap on the **Government ID** section and select the type of ID you will provide:
  * Driver’s License
  * Passport
  * State ID
  * Permanent Resident Card
  * Work Permit
  * Other valid forms of government-issued identification

**Step 3: Upload Your ID**

* Take a clear, high-quality photo of the front of your selected ID.
* You will also be prompted to provide a photo of the back (if applicable) or any additional documentation required.

**Step 4: Verify Your Identity**

* **Selfie or Video Verification:** After uploading your ID, you may be required to verify your identity by taking a selfie or recording a short video for facial recognition.
* If you're using a desktop, you can continue on your phone by selecting the **Continue on another device** option and scanning the provided QR code or receiving a link via email or SMS.

**Step 5: Provide Basic Information**

* After verifying your ID, complete the **Basic Information** section with your personal details, including:
  * Full Name
  * Date of Birth
  * Address

**Step 6: Review and Submit**

* Review all the information you’ve provided to ensure accuracy.
* Click **Submit** to finalize the process.

**Step 7: Verification Approval**

* Once submitted, the verification process typically takes a few minutes but can vary based on the complexity of the review.

**Step 8: Start Using BraidPay**

* After successfully completing the KYC process, you will have full access to BraidPay’s features, including sending & receiving payments, invoicing, and managing funds.
