# Setting Up Your Wallet

### Wallet Setup Process

1. **Set Up Wallet:**

   * When you attempt to access payment features after singing up, you’ll see a prompt on the dashboard instructing you to complete your **Wallet Setup** and **Identity Verification**.
   * Click on **Wallet Setup** to begin.

2. **Create a Secret PIN:**

   * After clicking on **Wallet Setup**, you’ll be guided to set up a **Secret PIN** for your wallet.
   * Enter and confirm the secret PIN. You must agree to the terms:
     * The PIN cannot be recovered once set.
     * The PIN is required for future withdrawals.

3. **Optional: Back Up Your Wallet:**
   * After creating the PIN, you’ll be prompted to back up your wallet using either **Google Drive** or **Passkey**. While this step is optional, we strongly recommend it for added security.
   * Back up allows for wallet recovery without needing the PIN if access is lost.
4. **Finalize Wallet Creation:**
   * Once your PIN is set and backup is complete, your wallet is linked to your BraidPay account, allowing you to send and receive payments and access BraidPay’s payment tools.
